Justice Abhilasha Kumari

Had early education from Loreto Convent Tara Hall, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. Did BA (Hons.) English from Indraprastha College, Delhi, University. Did LL.B. from Himachal Pradesh University. She was enrolled as an Advocate on 26th March, 1984. Practised in all types of Civil, Writ, Criminal, Service, Consumer, Industrial, Insurance and Company Matters in the High Court of Himachal Pradesh and H.P. State Administrative Tribunal. Remained Additional Central Government Standing Counsel with effect from 1995 to 2002. Remained Legal Advisor-cum-Standing Counsel for H.P. Krishi Vishva Vidyalaya, Himachal Pradesh University, H.P. Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation and H.P. State Electricity Board. Remained Standing Counsel for Municipal Council Dalhousie, Standing Counsel for Municipal Corporation Shimla, H.P. Board of School Education and H.P. Takniki Shiksha Board. She remained Additional Advocate General of Himachal Pradesh. Appointed as Additional Judge of the High Court of Himachal Pradesh on 2nd December, 2005. Transferred to the High Court of Gujarat and assumed charge as Additional Judge of the High Court of Gujarat on 9th January, 2006. Took oath as a permanent Judge of the High Court of Gujarat on 25th September, 2006. Was appointed as the Chief Justice of the High Court of Manipur on 06.02.2018
